Summer Administrative Assistant

COSTI REQUIRES A SUMMER ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
FOR ITS FAMILY AND MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM

Duties:

  • Greets all incoming visitors/clients, answers telephone, screens and directs all phone calls.
  • Provides callers/visitors/clients with information about COSTI services, programs and other appropriate resources.
  • Directs clients to appropriate counsellor.
  • Assists in maintaining appointment schedule for clinical staff.
  • Assists in maintaining and managing all client files (electronic and hard copy).
  • Coordinates and processes all incoming psychiatric referrals and schedules appointment for new patients.
  • Prepares files for next days scheduled appointments.
  • Re files and stores all client records into the filing cabinet.
  • Ensures waiting room is clean and supplied with up to date resources.
  • Assist colleagues whenever necessary.
  • Qualifications:

  • Must be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment.
  • Was registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year.
  • Intends to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year.
  • Is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
  • Is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/ territorial legislation and regulations.
  • Preference will be given to those enrolled in a post-secondary program
  • Experience working with MS Office 2010 with emphasis on Excel and Word.

    Starting Salary Range:

    $14.00 per hour

    This is a non-Union contract position scheduled to work 30 hours per week
