COSTI Virtual Wrap-Around Program

COSTI’s virtual 8-week Wrap-around Program was designed for Ontario Works (OW) participants that are impacted by COVID-19 and are currently facing multiple hardships and life stabilization issues due to the pandemic. To be eligible, participants must be on Ontario Works, and have access to: internet/wifi, computer/ tablet or Smart phone. The program offers personalized goals and action planning, one-on-one life Skills counselling, structural workshops activities in a virtual supportive small group environment. In addition, participants will have access to various resources, programs & services, educational/skills training and pre-employment preparation that will contribute to increasing self-confidence, resilience and self-reliance.

Services Available

Program intake comprise an individualized in-depth assessment to determine suitability, identify and record current needs and stabilization hardships brought on due to the pandemic. The Program is delivered via Zoom, emails and telephone, one-on-one and in small group sessions. Structured workshops topics covered include:

Goal Setting
Time Management
Self-esteem & Confidence Building
Motivation
Stress Management
Health & Wellbeing: handling issues of Anxiety, Depression and Mental Health.
Guest Speakers will present on: Money Management; Health/Nutrition, Money Management, aspects of Communication and much more.

In addition, participants will acquire a greater awareness and understanding of community supports available during the pandemic; receive help to address life skills, mental, physical and emotional needs. As well, participants will improve peer networking skills, access education and or pre-employment preparation / skills training that will facilitate self-reliant.
