Program Components
- Sector-specific workplace training
- Computer instruction
- Job preparation workshops (e.g. resume preparation, interview techniques, workplace culture, employment standards, etc.)
- Preparation for WHMIS certification
- Partnerships with local unions
Eligibility
Services are available for free to individuals who have acquired professional qualifications and experience outside of Canada and who have been unable to access employment in their field of expertise.
Individuals must be able to communicate at an intermediate level of English, and have occupational training and experience in the respective trade.
Participants must be Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees, or individuals on a Minister's Permit. Language assessments will be arranged to determine eligibility.
