Women in Tech Training

Unlock your potential and bridge the gender gap in the tech industry with COSTI’s Women in Tech Training program.

This initiative is tailored to support  marginalized newcomer-women, providing them with the essential skills and confidence to succeed in the IT support field.

The training includes an introduction to IT support concepts, covering computer hardware, software and troubleshooting. It offers practical exercises, fostering a dynamic learning experience with real-world scenarios and interactive group discussions.

Services Available

Skills Development:
Acquire in-depth knowledge of IT support, including computer hardware and software, troubleshooting, network configuration and customer service skills.

Employment Readiness:
Build your employability through resume building, interview preparation and industry-specific job search strategies.

Networking and Mentorship:
Connect with industry professionals and receive mentorship support to navigate the IT support field, creating opportunities for career growth.

Empowerment and Confidence Building:
Boost your technical skills and confidence with workshops centred on personal development, communication skills and self-advocacy.

Post-Course Support:We don't stop at training; our collaboration with employment services opens doors to job placement opportunities, facilitating a smooth transition from training to real-world employment.

Who is Eligible

The program is available to newcomer women residing in the Greater Toronto area.

Participants are required to have basic computer skills.

Times

This is a 6-week online training, offered on Tuesdays & Thursdays, from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm, and on Saturdays, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.
