{"id":406,"date":"2020-11-16T14:49:51","date_gmt":"2020-11-16T19:49:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/costi-reports.lndo.site\/annual-reports-archive\/20202021?post_type=service&#038;p=406"},"modified":"2021-11-12T15:11:39","modified_gmt":"2021-11-12T20:11:39","slug":"services","status":"publish","type":"service","link":"https:\/\/costi.org\/annual-report-2020-2021\/services\/seniors-services\/services\/","title":{"rendered":"Services"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Seniors\u2019 Services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organizational support provided to the Canadian Italian Family Assistance Association (CIFAA) and to seniors of the Caravelle Club and the Association of Spanish-speaking Seniors to assist them in their social, educational, and recreational activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Seniors Active Living Centre<\/em> allows Italian seniors the opportunity to take part in daily social, cultural, recreational and educational activities; Encuentro Latino, a group for Spanish-speaking seniors is designed to provide socialization, reduction of social isolation and mutual support in the settlement process. In addition, workshops and information sessions are offered to Chinese and South Asian communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Age Bridge<\/em><br>Promotes social inclusion of seniors. Youth develop educational workshops to teach seniors to engage in social interactions through mobile devices (iPads) and mobile applications (YouTube, Zoom).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Operated by COSTI and funded by the Calabrian Benevolent Association of Ontario (CBAO), the Seniors Day program supports Italian-speaking seniors diagnosed with early-stage dementia and\/or Alzheimer\u2019s disease as well as their families and care partners.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Seniors\u2019 Services Organizational support provided to the Canadian Italian Family Assistance Association (CIFAA) and to seniors of the Caravelle Club and the Association of Spanish-speaking Seniors to assist them in their social, educational, and recreational activities.
