Building Future-Ready Skills: Education
Language and skills training are key elements to integrating into Canadian society. Through COSTI’s Education Services Division, newcomers can receive these essential services to facilitate their settlement.
As part of our commitment to effectively meet the changing needs of newcomers and communities, our language and skills training programs continue to evolve.
In 2022/23, we continued to digitize and modernize the delivery of our Education Services programming. We installed interactive equipment in our classrooms, introduced an online learning portal, offering virtual and hybrid programming options.
In the past year, COSTI worked with 3,827 Education Services clients, equipping them with the tools and skills needed to successfully integrate into Canadian society. These services encompassed language training, skills development, and upskilling opportunities. Committed to equity, diversity and inclusion, COSTI takes pride in providing specialized programs for women, offering a secure and supportive environment for participants to build confidence, learn, and enhance their skills. Notably, in the previous year, 78% of our Education Services clients were women.
