Farid’s Story
A Meaningful Journey to Settlement in Canada
After arriving in Canada in May 2022, Farid and his family received support through COSTI’s Resettlement Assistance Program. Through sessions with his dedicated counsellors, Farid received valuable insights, practical advice, and a clear roadmap to achieve his general and professional settlement and professional milestones. The guidance he received was tailored to his strengths, skills, and aspirations, making the entire process personalized and purposeful.
As part of his settlement journey, Farid participated in COSTI’s Enhanced Language Training program, where he received help and guidance in creating his Canadian resume and cover letter, and learning Canadian business language training, pre-employment preparation, and more, as he began his professional career in Canada. Farid has now achieved his professional goals and is working as an Information and Employment Counsellor in the social services sector.
