{"id":69,"date":"2023-10-28T16:01:09","date_gmt":"2023-10-28T20:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/costi-reports.lndo.site\/annual-report-2024\/?page_id=69"},"modified":"2024-10-09T12:36:13","modified_gmt":"2024-10-09T16:36:13","slug":"education-services","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/costi.org\/annual-report-2024\/education-services\/","title":{"rendered":"Building Future-Ready Skills: Education Services"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2023\/24, we increased our program flexibility, introduced advanced technology in language instruction, including a suite of online offerings, and strengthened implementation of concurrent classroom models in most of our training programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our Education Services experienced a 21.32% increase in clients compared to the previous year:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Vaughan Welcome Centre assisted a total of 7,257 clients, 42% of whom received core services.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our language training programs achieved impressive completion rates: 86% for Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC), 69% for Enhanced Language Training (ELT) and 70.5% for Women-specific Employment Training (WSET) courses.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In Toronto and Peel, we successfully launched 57 English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for asylum claimants in February 2024, providing timely support to over 400 clients.
