Financial Supports
COSTI offers financial support to low-income individuals and families who qualify. These services help prevent eviction by providing access to programs and resources that cover housing-related costs.

Program highlights
- Rent Bank Program, which provides interest free loan to pay rental arrears or the first and last month rent
- Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP), a one-time grant to cover arrears with Hydro or Enbridge accounts to prevent loss of electricity or gas as well as help with service reconnection
- Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP), which provides a monthly credit applied to Electricity Bills
- Housing Stabilization Fund, a grant for arrears, or first and last month rent
Who is eligible?
Services are available to anyone living in North York who does not have safe or adequate housing, is at risk of becoming homeless, or faces cultural, language, or financial challenges in finding a suitable home.
