Scholarships

The WCPD Foundation Scholarship Fund is designed to recognized academic achievement and financial need by a newcomer who is enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution. Two scholarships, up to $2,000 are available for the 2023/24 academic year.

We hope this scholarship benefits the desire to pursue higher education and helps to secure a bright future for the recipients.

We invite undergraduate and graduate students to apply.

Program Application

Application materials must be emailed by October 13, 2023, along with a Letter of Recommendation and Academic Transcript. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

All Application Packages Must Include:

• A completed Scholarship Application Form
• An official Academic Transcript(s)
• A minimum of one reference letter
• A short essay outlining why the scholarship is significant, along with career/ occupational objectives.

Personal Consent

• Attendance at COSTI’s Annual General Meeting
• Submission of a signed Personal Information Release Form
• A selection committee will review all scholarship applications. Scholarships will be awarded based on application submission, including quality and substance of writing, academic record, and financial need.

Amount of Awards

Up to a total of $2,000

Notification

Due to the volume of applications received, COSTI will notify only those applicants who have been awarded scholarships. Winners of the scholarships will be notified by email. Names of recipients will be posted on the COSTI website www.costi.org in November 2023.

The Vittoria Adhami Immigrant Women’s Scholarship Fund recognizes high academic achievement and financial need of immigrant women who are current or former COSTI clients enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution. One scholarship, up to $3,000 is available for the 2023/24 academic year.

The COSTI Board of Directors has established a scholarship in Vittoria Adhami’s name in honour and in recognition of her dedication and commitment to COSTI for more than three decades. From the onset, Vittoria aimed to ensure the enhancement of services to our female clients. Vittoria was responsible for launching the first Women’s Conference dedicated to COSTI’s female staff; a conference that continues annually.

The Mary Cellucci Women’s Scholarship Fund recognizes high academic achievement and financial need of women who are current or former COSTI clients enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution. One scholarship, to a maximum of $2,000 is available for the 2023/24 academic year.

The COSTI Board of Directors has established a scholarship in Mary’s name to honour her memory and to recognize her contribution to COSTI for more than three decades.

We invite undergraduate and graduate students to apply.
