This is a full-time permanent management position scheduled to work 35 hours per week.
COSTI REQUIRES A GENERAL MANAGER FOR ITS ORIENTATION TO ONTARIO PROGRAM
Duties:
- Provides strategic direction, oversees service operations, and ensures program goals align with organizational objectives.
- Manage contracts, budgets, staff, and program performance while fostering positive relationships with partners, funders, and community organizations.
- Creates and enhance new resources for sharing information, adapting to advancements in technology and introducing innovative tools to cater to different learning styles.
- Hires, supervises, disciplines, and terminates staff, students, and volunteers while ensuring professional development.
- Negotiates and monitors contracts with service delivery agencies, including OCASI, Francophone Partners, and Database providers.
- Ensures timely submission of service contracts, reports, and performance appraisals while meeting organizational deadlines.
- Oversees workshop and webinar delivery, incorporating feedback and updating materials as needed.
- Prepares monthly and quarterly reports, writes articles for publications, and represents the organization at events.
- Develops funding proposals, ensures budgetary compliance, and manages financial reporting.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with funders, partners, and other service providers.
- Coordinates program activities, ensuring service gaps are addressed through innovative solutions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social services, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience supervising settlement programs and staff, with a focus on strategic leadership and operational management.
- Proven track record in managing and overseeing subcontracted community partners across multiple regions.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in front-line service delivery, including newcomer orientation and settlement services, with a focus on addressing complex settlement issues.
- Experience in creating and implementing innovative information sharing tools such as chatbots, mobile applications and interactive webinars.
- Strong experience in project management, including program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of multicultural communities and sensitivity to diverse cultural contexts.
- Extensive experience in budget management, financial reporting, and expenditure oversight.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills, with a focus on program quality improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and email communication.
- A highly resilient, empathic, and effective communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Experience in a management role with deeper understanding of the shelter system, serving newcomers, to establish strong relationships with multiple community partners and government agencies.
- Must have a car as this position requires traveling to multiple locations across the Province occasionally requiring overnight stay.
- Second language will be considered an asset.
- Required to provide a valid Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) Police check. The VSS must have been completed within the last 6 months.
- Must be fully vaccinated or be exempt from vaccination on human rights grounds. COSTI reserves the right to require information establishing the validity of the exemption.
