ESL Reading and Writing
COSTI’s ESL Reading and Writing program helps students to become efficient at reading and writing in English. Through this program, students will acquire the foundations of grammar, and the tools necessary to write effective essays in preparation for education at the college or university level. The ESL Reading and Writing program is delivered by certified instructors in partnership with the Toronto and York Catholic District School Boards.
Services Available
- vocabulary building;
- grammatical structure and sentence formation;
- punctuation and spelling; and
- different forms of writing such as letters, notes, and short composition.

Who is Eligible
Services are available to Canadian citizens, landed immigrants, convention refugees, and refugee claimants approved by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Students must be 18 years of age or older, and be able to speak English at a conversational level.
