Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) for Women
The Newcomer Settlement and Language Training Program supports the social and economic integration of newcomers to Ontario. Program activities address settlement, language training and employment needs, ensuring that newcomers have the support, skills, and opportunities to participate in their local communities and the labour market.
COSTI’s LINC for Women is designed for newcomers at Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) levels 3 to 5 and consists of 30 hours of language training focused on employment. The training is based on the Canadian Language Benchmarks / Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (CLB/NCLC) framework. Instructors will assess learners’ progression using Portfolio Based Language Assessment (PBLA).
