Language Training at the Workplace (LTW)
Language Training at the Workplace (LTW) offers job specific language training to employees who are in need of English as a Second Language based on the request of the employer. Training is provided on or off the employer's site. Training is customized to the organization's business needs. Employers select the topics and language functions that are most suitable for their business environment. Flexible class schedules can be arranged to accommodate employees' work hours. Services Available
The LTW program provides the following services to employers in program set-up and delivery:
- Needs analysis to identify employees' language training needs
- Language assessment to determine participating employees' language level
- Training materials and curriculum customized to the needs of the workplace environment
- Program planning and set-up
- Delivery of 36 hours of English language training
Who is Eligible
The LTW program is available to employers at no cost and offered to employees who are permanent residents or convention refugees.
