Learn About Our Enhanced Language Training Pathways to Trades Program Starting July 5th!
The program is suitable for internationally-experienced skills workers in the construction sector or maintenance sector.
There is no fee for this course.
Services Available
- Sector-specific workplace training
- Computer instruction
- Job preparation workshops (e.g. resume preparation, interview techniques, workplace culture, employment standards, etc.)
- Preparation for WHMIS certification
- Partnerships with local unions
Who is Eligible
Services are available to individuals who have acquired professional qualifications and experience outside of Canada and who have been unable to access employment in their field of expertise.
Individuals must be able to communicate at an intermediate level of English, and have occupational training and experience in the respective trade.
Participants must be Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees, or individuals on a Minister's Permit.
Language assessments will be arranged to determine eligibility.
