Learn to Navigate Through the Digital World!

The Digital and Media Literacy training provides an excellent opportunity for new immigrants to develop digital literacy and essential skills necessary for their employment search and daily life activities.

The program helps learners improve basic vocabulary and develop language related to digital and media technology.

Services Available

The following topics are covered over 25 hours of free online instruction:

  • Computer and its functions
  • Searching the Internet effectively
  • Shopping and banking online
  • Using social media and online communication
  • Job searching and studying online
  • Protecting privacy and security online

Who is Eligible

Training is available to Permanent Residents and Convention Refugees. A language assessment from the YMCA is required.
